About Calam, our beloved cat. Calam’s mother was a rescue, fostered by a coworker through Heart & Soul Dog and Cat Rescue so we adopted Calam as a kitten from them. He is an indoor cat with outdoor access. He would come home multiple times a day to eat and take a nap. He would leave the yard via the wood fence, then wait by the gate within 10 minutes of being called (so he was never far from home). On Jan 16, 2026 he left the house and hasn’t returned. Halo’s Pet Rescue helped us a lot in the first month or so but they need sightings to activate a search and are likely overwhelmed with so many requests – sadly, there are a lot of missing pets. Sightings so far haven’t turn out so we started this website to centralize and track our efforts; and hopefully get broader reach. He is a vocal cat – loves to be petted when he eats; loves to cuddle; loves attention. We miss him dearly.
